What's happening

Join us on the River for Free Family Day Fun
Rain or shine, ice or no ice – it’s a family play date:

Monday, February 18, 2019
11:00 am to 2:00 pm
125 Water Street, Gananoque
Blue Building Courtyard

Come to the Winter River Festival on the waterfront and enjoy horse drawn rides and schlockey. The Boat Museum will also be hosting ice fishing, kid’s crafts, music, a fire pit, and the famous - maple syrup taffy on the snow. Free chili, hot dogs and hot chocolate (compliments of the Boat Museum and the Gananoque Boat Line) will be served while supplies last. Connect with families and friends from the community and beyond!

Ice fishing opportunities will be available. Twice a year, Canadian residents can fish in Ontario without buying a fishing licence. Family Day is one of those times. There has never been a better time to try fishing!

No Ice! No Problem! We can fish right off the spectacular docks!

Horse drawn rides are always a blast – jump on the wagon for a free ride around the neighbourhood. Thanks to the Parks and Recreation Department of the Town of Gananoque!

Start the day early with a Family Day Curling Clinic: 10 am – 12 pm at the Curling Club! Many thanks to the Curling Club for their ongoing support of the Boat Museum.

The Boat Museum's doors will be wide open, providing a friendly place to hang out and keep warm!

Lots of Fun for Everyone - Come play!
